Prep Cook / Retail Support
We're looking for a Prep Cook to assist our Chef and Sous-Chef by preparing ingredients for recipe production. The Prep Cook will wash, peel, trim, slice, chop, and grate ingredients (vegetables, meats, and cheeses), and measure, weigh, and mix ingredients. The Prep Cook may assist with other culinary tasks as they arise (for example, making and rolling dough, helping with assembly, etc.). This position will begin as Prep Cook only and hopefully transition to combined Prep Cook/Retail Support once our regular business hours resume, which depends on how COVID-19 progresses. Potential to increase to 20 hours/week. Flexibility is required! Must be able to lift 25# occasionally.
Position Responsibilities- Prep Cook:
*Wash, process, label, and store recipe ingredients.
*Learn and follow kitchen cleaning protocol.
*Assist with other culinary tasks, as needed (making and rolling dough, etc.).
*Complete assembly, packaging, and storage of product, as needed.
Position Responsibilities- Retail Support:
*Run the register, answer the phone, clean front of house and close facility 2 nights/week.
This permanent position is part-time for 15 hours/week (flexible hours but expected to be 3 5-hour shifts/week) and employees receive a 25% discount on prepared food.
